First, find out whether your shoes are made of finished or unfinished leather because both of them have different way of cleaning. Second, clean the dust and stains by using a soft brush. You can also use your unused toothbrush as the substitute if you don’t have a soft brush. Rub the shoes with the brush until the dust and stains are removed.

Third, rub the surface of the leather shoes with a dry cleaning cloth.

Fourth, (1) if your shoes are made of finished leather, give a little water on the cleaning cloth and then rub the fibrous surface with it. (2) If your shoes are made of unfinished leather, clean it with saddle soap. Give a little water and saddle soap on the cleaning cloth and then make lather. Rub the shoes' surface with the lathered cleaning cloth. Wipe the lather with water. Keep the shoes dry inside.

Fifth, place the shoes on the open air to make it dry. Do not place them in the direct sunlight because it can cause cracking and the color will fade.

Sixth, give one day rest to the shoes before you use it again in order to make it dry completely. So, your shoes will last longer.
